Konk è il secondo album della band indie rock britannica The Kooks, pubblicato in Europa l'11 aprile 2008. Prende il nome dai Konk Studios, di proprietà di Ray Davies, dove l'album è stato inciso.

È stato anche pubblicato in una versione composta da due dischi, il secondo dei quali è stato chiamato "RAK" in onore dei RAK Studios dove è stato registrato. In questa edizione la copertina è pressoché identica all'altra, ma cambia il colore della scritta "Konk", che è rossa.

Il primo singolo lanciato sul mercato è stato Always Where I Need to Be,mentre il secondo estratto è stato Shine on.

The Kooks are an English indie rock band formed in 2004 in Brighton. The band currently consists of Luke Pritchard (vocals/rhythm guitar), Hugh Harris (lead guitar/synthesizer) and Alexis Nunez (drums). Original bassist was Max Rafferty, and the founding drummer was Paul Garred.

The lineup of the band remained constant until the departure of Rafferty in 2008. Dan Logan served as a temporary replacement, then Peter Denton joined the band permanently in October 2008 until they announced he was no longer playing with them in January 2019.

Early in 2010, Pritchard announced the departure of drummer Paul Garred, due to a nerve problem in his arm. Late in the year, Garred rejoined for studio sessions, however Chris Prendergast played drums when the band played live. Garred finally left in November 2011 after the release of their third album, Junk of the Heart.

The Kooks sono una band indie rock britannica formatasi nel 2005 a Brighton, nell'East Sussex. Il loro nome è ispirato alla canzone del cantante David Bowie chiamata proprio Kooks, contenuta nell'album Hunky Dory.
