"Come Back to What You Know" is a song by English rock band Embrace, released as the 4th single from their debut album The Good Will Out on 25 May 1998.

Quite possibly their most renowned song, it remained the band's highest charting single, reaching number 6 in the UK singles chart, until the release of "Nature's Law".

The Good Will Out is the debut album by English rock band Embrace, first released in 1998 (see 1998 in music).

The album achieved critical acclaim as well as success in terms of sales, going gold on its first day of release, becoming one of the fastest-ever-selling debut albums by a British artist, and going on to sell over 500,000 copies domestically.

Cover was photographed by Mary Scanlon on Christopher Street in the West Village neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City adjacent to St. Veronica Church. The album is ranked number 993 in All-Time Top 1000 Albums(3rd. edition, 2000) .

Embrace are an English rock band formed in Bailiff Bridge in 1990. To date they have released seven studio albums, one singles album and one B-sides compilation.

The band consists of brothers singer Danny McNamara and guitarist Richard McNamara, bassist Steve Firth, keyboardist Mickey Dale and drummer Mike Heaton.

The group have released seven studio albums – The Good Will Out (1998), Drawn from Memory (2000), If You've Never Been (2001), Out of Nothing(2004), This New Day (2006), Embrace (2014) and Love Is a Basic Need (2018).

Il primo album del gruppo, intitolato The Good Will Out e pubblicato nel 1998, gli Embrace si presentano dunque come l'ennesima band inglese di stampo britpop, il loro album d'esordio viene di fatto etichettato come il perfetto mix tra le sonorità di Oasis e The Verve.

Il primo singolo estratto dall'album, Come Back to What You Know, può essere senza dubbio considerato il loro primo vero grande successo che nell'estate del 1998 li fece conoscere al grande pubblico inglese.
