Song

"All Over You" is a song by the rock group Live from their 1994 album, Throwing Copper.

The song was never released as a single in the US, but it reached #33 on the Billboard Hot 100 Airplay chart and #1 on Billboard's Recurrent Airplay chart. It also charted at #4 on the Billboard Modern Rock Tracks and #2 on the Mainstream Rock Tracks chart. It appeared in "Syzygy", the episode of The X-Files that aired January 26, 1996.

The live B-sides were recorded at the 1995 Glastonbury Festival, with the exception of "Waitress", which was recorded at the Swedish Broadcasting Corporation in Stockholm on June 9, 1995.

The song "All Over You" was composed in the key of C-sharp minor with recommended tempo of 126 bpm.

Throwing Copper is the second studio album by American alternative rock band Live, released on April 26, 1994 on former MCA Records subsidiary Radioactive Records. It was produced by Jerry Harrison of Talking Heads and was recorded at Pachyderm Recording Studio.

Cover art

The cover art is a painting by Scottish artist Peter Howson titled Sisters of Mercy. On September 23, 2005 it was sold for $186,000 by Christie's in New York. The painting is oil on canvas and measures 243 × 182 centimeters.

It has been suggested that the painting explores the themes of betrayal, revenge, and fear and that it shows a group of prostitutes urging a man holding a bible to throw himself off a cliff.

I Live (/laɪv/, spesso scritto anche LĪVE oppure +LĪVE+) sono un gruppo alternative rock statunitense formatosi a fine anni ottanta a York nella Pennsylvania, da Ed Kowalczyk (voce, chitarra), Chad Taylor (chitarra, cori), Patrick Dahlheimer (basso) e Chad Gracey (batteria).

Con i loro testi molto idealistici e spirituali, che in più occasioni li hanno portati al paragone con gli U2, possono vantare quattro dischi di platino (Mental Jewelry, Throwing Copper, Secret Samadhi e The Distance to Here), più vari singoli nei primi posti delle classifiche. In totale, ad oggi, hanno venduto quasi 18 milioni di dischi.

I Live hanno raggiunto il successo mondiale con l'album del 1994 Throwing Copper, che ha venduto otto milioni di copie negli Stati Uniti. La band ha avuto una serie di hit singles a metà degli anni '90 tra cui "Lightning Crashes", che è rimasta in cima alla classifica Billboard Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks per 10 settimane consecutive e la classifica Modern Rock Tracks (ora Alternative Songs) per nove settimane dal 25 febbraio al 22 aprile 1995.
