Glasvegas is the debut studio album by the Scottish indie rock band Glasvegas, first released in the UK on 8 September 2008 by Columbia Records. The album was produced by lead singer James Allan and Rich Costey (Muse, Franz Ferdinand).

Glasvegas are a Scottish indie rock band from Glasgow. The band consists of James Allan (vocals), Rab Allan (lead guitar), Paul Donoghue (bass guitar) and Jonna Löfgren (drums). Their platinum-selling debut album Glasvegas released in September 2008 was well received by critics and reached No. 2 in the UK Album Charts.

It was nominated for the Mercury Music Prize in September 2009. The album went on to enjoy further critical and commercial success in North America and in Sweden (where it went Gold).

I Glasvegas sono una indie-rock band di Glasgow, Scozia. La band è formata da James Allan (voce), Rab Allan (chitarra), Paul Donoghue (basso) e Jonna Löfgren (batteria). L'album di debutto Glasvegas, disco di platino, è stato pubblicato nel settembre del 2008 e accolto molto bene dalla critica e dal pubblico: è infatti entrato al 2º posto in classifica in Gran Bretagna.

È stato nominato per il Mercury Music Prize nel settembre del 2009. L'album ha poi proseguito il successo di critica e commerciale in Nord America e Svezia (disco d'oro in quest'ultimo paese).
