Way Down We Go è un singolo del gruppo rock islandese Kaleo, pubblicato nel 2016 ed estratto dal loro primo album A/B.

Il brano è stato scritto dai quattro componenti del gruppo, ossia JJ Julius Son, David Antonsson, Daniel Kristjansson e Rubin Pollock. Nell'ambito dei Grammy Awards 2018, la canzone ha ricevuto la candidatura nella categoria miglior interpretazione rock.

La canzone è inserita nei film Collateral Beauty, nel trailer del film Logan - The Wolverine e nel trailer della quarta stagione della serie Orange Is the New Black, nonché nella serie Lucifer (sesto episodio della seconda stagione) e in altre serie, produzioni televisive e videogiochi come FIFA 16.

A live performance of the song was recorded in the magma chamber of the dormant Icelandic volcano Thrihnukagigur.

Album

A/B is the second studio album by Icelandic rock band Kaleo. It was released on 10 June 2016 through Elektra Records.

A/B received generally favourable reviews from music critics, some of which praised Jökull Júlíusson's vocals, as well as the songs "No Good" and "All the Pretty Girls".

Kate Hutchinson from The Guardian, however, was less positive, criticising its lack of originality.

I Kaleo sono un gruppo rock islandese formatosi nel 2012 a Mosfellsbær.

Il gruppo ha esordito ufficialmente nel 2012 e l'anno seguente ha pubblicato il brano Vor í Vaglaskógi. Nel 2014 la band ha avuto un buon successo con il brano All the Pretty Girls e all'inizio del 2015 ha firmato un contratto con Atlantic Records.

Kaleo (stylized as KALEO) is an Icelandic rock band that formed at Mosfellsbær in 2012, consisting of lead vocalist and guitarist JJ Julius Son, drummer David Antonsson, bassist Daniel Kristjansson, and lead guitarist Rubin Pollock. They have released two studio albums, Kaleo (2013) and A/B (2016), as well as an EP, Glasshouse (2013). A/B has sold over one million albums worldwide. 

Julius Son is currently working on the follow-up to A/B, titled Surface Sounds on Elektra. Lead singles "I Want More" and "Break My Baby" were released on 15 January 2020. The band's song "Alter Ego" was released on 13 March 2020. A forth single, appearing on the album, "Backbone" was released on 17 April 2020.
